One of South Africa’s most prominent rappers, Khuli Chana, reportedly owes SARS R1.1 million in unpaid taxes.
In a report by Sunday World, Khulane Morule, who more popularly known by his stage name, Khuli Chana is said to be facing penalties and interest, which is reportedly over R615 000.
Additionally, the publication claims that Khuli Chana’s company, Khuli Chana Holdings also owes R426 000 in Value-Added Tax (VAT).
Almost R30 000 in penalities and over R160 000 interest is also reportedly what the artist owes or his company.
The Buyile hitmaker was reportedly audited by SARS in Witbank, Mpumalanga, and reportedly also owes R11 000 in Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) contributions.
Khuli Chana who welcomed a baby boy with wife Lamiez in April, has a judgement against him by the revenue services.
This after SARS applied for judgement against Khuli Chana at the Johannesburg High Court last week.
Chana also reportedly owes SARS R30 000 in unpaid Pay As You Earn (PAYE).
The businessman who own Khuli Chana Studios has not released a statement about the allegations by SARS.
