In 2018, the Constitutional Court ruled that the use of cannabis is legal for both personal and medical use. However, it is currently still unlawful to use it outside of your private home, as well as buying and selling it.
This decision by the highest court in the land left many happy in the country, because marijuana isn’t just a recreational “drug” but can also be used for other things.

Most ladies use marijuana as a hair product, it’s also apparently good for growing hair. Some people boil and drink it when they have a bit of a cold.
So marijuana being decriminalized meant people were able to plant it in their backyards and didn’t have to worry about finding a dealer.
In South Africa, The Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development estimates that the cannabis industry is worth an estimated R28 billion in South Africa, and could create anywhere between 10,000 – 25,000 jobs across the sector.

Besides smoking, there are more ways to take it, which can be a method to avoid the high. I’ve experimented with making oils and found that it’s quite useful for pain, from toothaches to chronic and athritic pain, I make some for my mother who now is a reformed hater o/t plant.
