The early bird catches the cardio, as Sizwe Dhlomo and his avid group of #AbsaRunYourCity runners demonstrated with their second training run.
“Training is getting easier with every step,” the Kaya Drive presenter shared on completion of their gruelling 5km route around Rosebank.
Departing from the Kaya 959 studios before the crack of dawn, the training runs were put together to get runners from beginners to expert levels ready for the #AbsaRunYourCity event taking place on 24 September.
With 11 days to go before the big race day, Siz will be sharing some running tips on Kaya Drive, so be sure to listen to the show from Monday to Friday, between 15h00 and 18h00.
Runners will be treated to a 10km journey that highlights iconic landmarks and features lively performances by a host of Joburg’s leading performing arts groups.
A true highlight on the SA running calendar, entrants can also look forward to rubbing shoulders with elite runners both local and from abroad.
The group’s only female runner said she was feeling more confident now that she’s completed her second training run.
If you would like to join in on the next run, join Sizwe and the group on Wednesday, 14 September or Saturday, 17 September at Kaya 959 offices.
The second #RunWithSizwe in preparation for Absa Run Your City went well. The next run is Wednesday at 5 AM!
