Uncle Waffles has literally come out of nowhere to become the most in-demand female DJ on the continent and now the international market is also dancing to her tune.
Grammy-award-winning rapper Drake who’s arguably the biggest musician in the world came across Uncle Waffles through a viral video of the rising star performing Adiwele by Young Stunna.
Back in March, just before the release of her debut EP Red Dragon, Uncle Waffles interacted wit her fans on Instagram while playing tracks from the EP. Drake popped in the comment section and showed admiration for the rising star. “WAFFFFLLLLESSSSSS”, he commented, followed by “Top DJ Top Sound Uncle Waffles.”
More recently, Uncle Waffles shared her recent gig set on Instagram stories, Drake re-shared the story on his Instagram account and captioned the story with a waffle emoji and three fuming nose emojis, indicating that he is enjoying the set.
Visibly over the moon and star-struck Waffles tweeted that she’s been “screaming for 10 minutes.”
I’ve been screaming for 10 minutes
