It was the clash of personalities, when Somizi and Thembi Seete locked horns on Idols SA.
While some say the spat between the two judges was staged to attract more viewers, neither one backed down as the credits rolled.
It seems that Somizi grew increasingly annoyed with Thembi for her apparent continuous interruptions while he was talking.
“When it happened the first time I ignored it, now the fourth time, you cannot do that. You, see you’re still talking over me, and you do the same, DAMN thing! That’s the issue!”
Somizi and Thembi Seete clash on Idols SA
Thembi interjected while Somizi was talking, “I’m not a guest here, I’m a judge and I’m here to stay.”
Somizi was having none of it and reminded Thembi Seete that she just joined Idols, while he had been a part of the show for 8-years.
It’s actually 7-years, as the flamboyant media personality joined the reality talent show in 2015 as a judge.
The heated live altercation ended with Somizi dropping an F-bomb and throwing down his drink.
Twitter reacted to the clip, saying it was a clever marketing ploy to get people to tune in next week to see if Somizi and Thembi Seete were still at loggerheads, or if they would kiss and makeup.
