Lamiez and The Funny Chef dish on their “special” friendship

By Katlego Sekhu

Joining My Top 10 at 10 with Tbose this past Friday were best friends Lamiez Holworthy and Lebogang ‘The Funny Chef.’

Speaking about their friendship, Lamiez says she hasn’t known Lebogang for that long but they just clicked.

“If things are meant to happen they will happen and that’s exactly how our friendship happened.”

Appreciating their many admirers on social media, Holworthy is pained by the fact that real friendships are rare these days.

“Like why is loyalty and genuine friendship are so hard to find.”

The DJ believes that your friends should be your biggest supporters.

“If your friends are not your biggest cheerleaders and are not spending their hard-earned money on what you do, those are not your friends.

“One thing I love about our friendship is that I root for her and I never had to question our friendship.”

Dishing on her new cookbook The Funny Chef’s Delicious Dishes, Lebogang says the book is ‘Grade 1.’

“The book is grade 1, so don’t go out and get the book expecting to get gourmet. Before we got to gourmet, we went to school.

“That book is like you being in class at your own home. I teach you everything from scratch. What you do after that is up to you.”

The cookbook is available online and selected bookstores nationwide.
