Single parent dating: Introducing your kids to your new love

By: Natasha Archary   I’ve been putting off writing about this for a good few months, so when I was roped into an on-air discussion with Dr Makhosi Khoza on dating as a single parent, I could procrastinate no more.   Dating in general is a ridiculous process. Maneuvering the maze of feelings that tug at heartstrings and have you questioning your judgement. Second guessing every decision, letting your guard […]

PRESS OFFICE

“Good Vibes Only” is a limiting way to approach life

By Nomali Cele People who know me will likely think, well, of course, you have a problem with positivity, which they are completely welcome to think. Why, oh why do we fall for these scripted, perfectly staged, stereotypical ideals of romance?   Most women can relate to this line, “God I wish my life was a movie sometimes. You know, I’d never have to worry about my hair, or having to go to the bathroom. And then, when I’m at my lowest point, some guy would chase me down […]

Learning to Co-Parent with your ex

By Motlagae Konyana Parenting is challenging but it is even more difficult when the parents are no longer romantically involved and don’t get along. Many parents say that co-parenting can be hard, heartbreaking, filled with disapointments among other things that lead to the breakup.  But for the sake and well-being of the child, parents are forced to put their differences aside and parent the child. Co-parenting requires re-organising the family […]
